Modular Solutions Delivered for Data Center Projects in China and Overseas

2026-09-23

BOTHX, BOTH’s modular business brand, has recently completed successive deliveries of prefabricated modular units for data center projects in Inner Mongolia, China, and Indonesia.

As data center construction scales up and deployment demand grows, projects face increasingly demanding requirements for delivery schedules, site conditions, and construction resources. By shifting more work from site to factory for prefabrication and integration in a controlled environment, prefabricated modular units offer a new approach to data center project delivery.

From On-Site Construction to Factory Integration

Modular delivery transfers high-precision, labor-intensive work to a controlled manufacturing environment. Standardized design, factory prefabrication, and systems integration reduce overlapping activities across trades on site and improve delivery predictability.

Prefabricated modular units for the Inner Mongolia data center project:A modular hydronic system solution achieved a modularization rate of over 98%. On-site assembly required only a small team and was completed within a short timeframe, enabling a rapid transition to full-system commissioning and testing.

Prefabricated modular units for the Indonesia data center project: To address transport, lifting, and installation constraints associated with a rooftop platform, BOTHX adopted a complete modular chilled water plant solution comprising 12 modules. The entire process—from detailed design and procurement to manufacturing, integration, and commissioning—was completed in China. Tailored solutions were also developed to address heavy-load transport by land and sea, as well as exposure to high humidity and salt-laden air in Southeast Asia. Combining structured project management with standardized manufacturing, the team completed the full scope, passed factory acceptance, and dispatched the modules within just 45 days.

Developed for different site conditions, both projects brought more work forward into the factory. They also demonstrate the evolution of modular solutions from individual prefabricated components to systems integration and end-to-end delivery.

From a Global Presence to Global Delivery

BOTH continues to expand its international business. Through its international business group and regional presence overseas, the company combines consistent global standards with local delivery capabilities to support clients’ projects worldwide.
For overseas projects, the value of modular delivery is particularly clear. Completing more specialist work in the factory helps reduce reliance on local skilled construction labor and site resources. Transportation and local installation then complete the delivery process.

From manufacturing in China to delivery worldwide, modular solutions further extend BOTH’s international delivery capabilities.

From Module Manufacturing to End-to-End Delivery
BOTHX is BOTH’s modular business brand. It combines a design framework aligned with international standards, advanced manufacturing capabilities in China, and a global delivery network to provide modular solutions with a high degree of delivery certainty, flexibility, and repeatability.
Drawing on BOTH’s expertise in design, project management, and global delivery across high-tech industries, BOTHX integrates engineering and design (E), procurement and supply chain management (P), module fabrication and systems integration (F), and local construction and installation (C). This EPFC modular delivery model enables high-quality solutions tailored to different markets and project conditions.
The delivery of these data center projects in China and overseas demonstrates the practical application of modular solutions across different settings.

From on-site construction to factory integration, and from domestic projects to overseas delivery, modular solutions are becoming another core delivery capability for BOTH in global markets.
